“There’s also the psychological factor — people naturally obey physical boundaries,” said David Lowry, a private security consultant. “When they see temporary fencing, they understand the limits without needing constant supervision.”

Interestingly, the rise in demand isn’t limited to public gatherings. Local businesses are also renting fences to protect properties during overnight renovations or while transitioning to new premises. With more urban development projects underway in Denver’s downtown area, temporary fencing is becoming a common sight.

As Denver prepares for its annual Independence Day celebrations — including the massive fireworks show at Elitch Gardens — city officials confirmed that over 4,000 feet of fencing will be deployed across multiple viewing zones. The goal: safety, accessibility, and seamless flow.
